time lapse collection

ok...it's no secret I love time lapse photography.  i'm certain it has to do with a mentor of mine from early in my career who once said that a great video can be stopped, frozen at any point during its playback to reveal a great photograph.  I've always remembered that, and have tried to live by that, keeping in mind that every frame of video should be treated as a photograph that, when captured, reveals something, tells a story, and is suitable as a stand-alone photograph.

I love time lapse photography because it is built on that very philosophy, and when done correctly, always results in a stunning example of the world around us.  It reminds us how blessed we are to live in this world, and to have available to us incredible technology so we can continue to capture its beauty.  Such is the case with this short film by Simon Christen.
